A place of beauty. A meeting of perspectives.

Set around a secluded Sedona house and a journal passed between generations, The Sedona House of Red Fires Journal brings together diverse voices reflecting on nature, identity, mortality, faith, power, art, and the limits of knowledge. The entries are connected by place and shared human questions, with Sedona serving as the central presence throughout the work.

The book invites readers to look inward and consider how a landscape can change what they notice about themselves. Its varied perspectives leave room for disagreement, uncertainty, and personal reflection.

The Journey

What changes when we see differently?

01

Landscape

The power of place.

The raw beauty of nature creates room for wonder, reflection, and a fresh encounter with the familiar.

02

Identity

Beyond the familiar self.

What remains when our guarded layers begin to soften? The landscape opens a space to consider who we are.

03

Perspective

A conversation across lives.

Different voices and ways of seeing invite us to examine the convictions, conflicts, and possibilities that shape a life.

  1. 01How does the Sedona landscape function as more than a backdrop? In what ways does place change what the voices in the journal notice about themselves?
  2. 02The book gathers entries passed between generations. What does each generation seem to see in the same landscape — and what does that suggest about identity over time?
  3. 03Several voices reflect on mortality, faith, power, art, and the limits of knowledge. Where did you disagree with a voice, and what did that disagreement reveal about your own perspective?
  4. 04Which entry moved you to look inward? What did the landscape — or the page — ask you to reconsider about yourself?
  5. 05The book leaves room for uncertainty. Where did you wish for a clearer answer, and where were you grateful it was left open?
  6. 06After reading, what do you find yourself noticing differently — in the land outside your window, or in the world within?

His professional career spans more than forty-five years in business consulting, including real estate taxation, complex valuation, and leadership of a multinational outsourcing division. He remains active in real estate investment. His writing draws on both his analytical background and his curiosity about meaning, imagination, and human experience.
